How much does a cake cost?

 

The price of your cake will vary depending on the size, as well as the overall complexity of the design. Pricing begins at $5 a serving.

What size cake do I need?

Please feel free to contact us about the number of servings you will require for your special event.  We can help you select the right size cake to be sure every guest is served.  We have also listed the approximate serving size of each cake tier we offer, at the top of our menu page.

Do you offer allergy free cakes?

 

Many of our recipes can accommodate tree nut and peanut free requests, however we cannot exclude the possibility of cross contamination given the shared environment where we prepare our products, although we will take extra precaution.

 

Can you just decorate a cake I bring in?

We do understand that having a family member or someone else baking a cake for your special occasion can be important.  Unfortunately, we are unable to decorate a cake baked from another source. 

 

How do I pay you?

We currently accept cash, credit/debit card payment via Square, and Venmo.  We DO NOT accept checks.  All custom orders require a 50% deposit, no later than 5 days upon finalizing your order.  Delivered cakes should be paid in full by the agreed upon date on the contract.  Final payments for all other orders should be made no later than 7 days prior to pick up.  A 3% service fee will be added to all orders of $200 and over when paid via Square.  

 

When should I order my cake?

 

Our calendar is open on a rolling one year advance basis for weddings and other large events.  We recommend you book your date with us as soon as you know it, as we are only able to take a limited amount of orders at a time.  However, do feel free to contact us anyway, as sometimes we are able to work on shorter notice.  We do our best to publish our general availability on our Facebook page.

 

Do you offer tastings and consultations?

 

Yes, we do offer tastings and/or consultations on all Wedding orders and other Such large events.  Click here for more information about tastings.  There is a non-refundable $35 fee per tasting for two, and an additional $15 a person. 

Tastings and tasting boxes are not offered on celebration cake orders.  Consultation appointments without tastings are also $35, and are offered for all orders over $250.

Where can I find our address or phone number?  

It can always be found on your invoice and contract. 

Because we are a private studio, located in the home, we do not list our location information publicly.  However we are welcome to share it upon request via email in response to your order inquiry.   

Why do you require pre-payment?

 

Because sometimes people don't come to collect their orders.  We are a small batch, custom order cakery, and we just hate to toss out all of that time and energy, not to mention uneaten goodness.  

How do I request an order?

Just click on the Requests tab located at the top of the page.  Fill out the information required and submit.  Once your request has been received we'll check our calendar for availability and get back to you asap.  Please be sure to leave details in the spaces provided.  

Why don't you offer licensed character cakes anymore?

In short. . . because it's illegal.  Copyrighted characters and logos are just that; copyrighted.  They are the property of another entity, and buy definition do not belong to another business to use the likeness in order to profit.  All sorts of legal mumbo jumbo.  Ask us anyway, we may be able to accommodate.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do offer delivery and set up.  We always prefer to deliver for weddings and large events, as well as cakes 3-4 tiers depending on the size.  However, space can be limited on the weekends.  If your cake requires delivery please be sure to ask when ordering.  During peak wedding season (May-October) a minimum order of $500 may be required for delivery.  Delivery fees apply.

Can I stop by for a visit to shop?  

As much as we love to see our clients, unfortunately we are not that kind of studio.  We are a private in home studio by appointment only, and not open to the public.

How do I store my cake?

Our cakes do require refrigeration.  If you choose to collect your order we can give you instructions on how best to serve and store your cake.

What if I have to cancel my order?

We reserve the right to retain your deposit if cancellation occurs.  If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of a custom party cake order, or within 30 days of a wedding order, we reserve the right to seek collection or retain of 100% of the orders value.  You must be given conformation of your cancellation by Crumbles in order for cancellation to take effect. If your event date must be postponed we will do our best to accommodate as long as your new event date is available, otherwise it will be considered a cancellation.  In the unlikely event of an emergency, such as fire, flood, or severe illness or medical emergency, and your order must be canceled by Crumbles, we will return the full deposit paid by you in advance.
